You Are Not My Enemy.

The world spins
perilous, raw-skinned,
and so we go
into a story untold.

Will we break?
Or will we learn to mold
darkness, heaviness
into gold.

Here it begins
where old ways
grow thin
and a new age
of remembrance begins.

Will we remember?
We are stitched together,
woven with earth
and all of her kin.

Each self a beaming soul
who
in their own ways
forgot they are whole.

And so may we see
in each face,
each body, each ‘me’,
we are mirrors,

that it is only ‘we’.

And in generosity
can we find it within
to reach out
and agree:

you are not my enemy.

I am here to be whole
to surrender this war
so that all may be free
of this raging polarity.
